OUR LITTLE BAKERY
It's what's on the inside that counts
Step One: The Dough
The first step in Grandma's delicious kuchen is the thin, sweet crust. We mix the dough then roll it into balls and let them rise for that soft, bready crust. The dough balls are then rolled out into pie pans to be filled.
Step Two: The Fruit Filling
The next step in the kuchen is the fruit filling. Each of Grandma's fillings are made from scratch every morning before we begin mixing our dough! Though different flavors are more popular in different seasons of the year, each one is delicious and you need to try all 19 to find out!
Step Three: The Cream Filling
The very first thing to get started in the morning is the custard filling. Each person has their own recipe, but at Grandma's kuchen we make ours rich and creamy with a less custard consistency than most.
Step Four: Grandma's Signature Sugar Topping
Probably every bakers's favorite step is the sugar topping. Made with Grandma's secret recipe, it gives the kuchen a sweet, crumbly cap to an already delicious! With just a dash of cinnamon on top, the kuchen is ready for the ovens!

Step Five: Bake
We have 6 ovens in our kitchen that we are constantly rotating kuchen through. We check the kuchen every few minutes until the are perfectly golden on the bottom. The hot kuchen is then put on racks to cool until they can be packaged.

Final Step: ENJOY!!
After you bring your frozen kuchen home, let it set out to thaw (typically takes an hour). Enjoy with a hot cup of coffee or a cold glass of milk! And of course make sure to share with a loved one...or don't we wont judge!
